That is impressive.
One way you can teach them to tell you they need to go out is using a small bell. The way I heard to start is hang the bell in front of them and when they touch it, whether it rings or not, take them out.
I was a little bit more lazy and just had it hanging by the door and everytime I took them out would ring it. They picked it up very quickly. Yorkies are so smart.
If anyone knows how to get them to bark when they need to go out, I would love to hear it. Gus only barks half the time.
