I have found that depending on what the big dog is bred for determines there personality towards small dogs. So far Logan has played well with any great dane, boxer, heeler, collie, or st. bernard we have come across. However, we have not had good luck with huskies or vislas. Retrievers & labs seem to be hit or miss. I think that if a dog is bred for hunting they think the little dog is something to hunt & kill rather than play with. Logan plays well with my mom's weimereiner, but I would imagine this is only because she was just a pup when she met Logan & they grew up together.
