Sorry it has taken me a while to reply....Moose says thanks Kia for the pictures.

Well moose was released that some afternoon from the vets and I was less than thrilled with their handling of it all. I told the vet I had given valium to moose so I could shave her and she said nothing about that, though I think that is what made her sick. When I picked moose up the vet was standing in the waiting room talking to another person. She told me they took blood to do an entire workup on moose and a bile acid test they would be back the next day and she would call. The bill bowled me over, I was charged for a full office visit eventhough we tool up no office. They use to do half charge if you left your pup. Supposly they gave her IV fluids all day yet I saw no sign of it(ie. swollen area where iv was placed) The vet said moose had tapeworms, which I question since moose gets frontline every month on the dot and goes on her service dog outings so where did the flea come from, plus I had seen no signs of tapeworms before that day so I am still iffy on that one.

Vet didn't call next day, actually no one there did even to see how moose was, on Wed I called them and was told that the vet who was working on that day was not allowed to give test results to anyone, oh and I had to tell them moose was doing a little better. Called thurs afternoon, no report they don't think. Finally I got the vet on the phone Thurs afternoon and she started into rattling off vet terms, felt like I needed cliff notes. From what I gathered, the bile acid test was 7 when moose fasted and 72 I think after they made her ate, the vet said 27 was in the normal range. She then started into I need to take her to UF vet school and get moose ultrasound and xrays and more blood work and biopsies. I asked could the results be from the stomach issue, she said maybe, then before I hung up the phone she goes o how is moose!!!

So I started asking about different vets, one cause with me still not able to work I needed a lower cost place and 2 I wanted a second opinion. So wouldn't you know the low cost clinic by my house, on of the vet's is a guy I have known since elementary school. He took my mom and I on a look at the clinic and sat and caught up with us. So went to the other vert to get the girls records and they gave me the hardest time and I finally said look I was denied unemployment, I have no money comming in, and my DRs. want me to be either not working or part time for 6 months, I am poor. Embarrassed myself but think they felt a bit bad too.

So moose is doing good, eating canadiae and no tummy issues, we are going to get a second opinion from the other vet and just incase I am trying to figure out what type of flea control to switch moose to just incase the frontline top spot isn't working on her. On my side last week had judical phone call with unemployment on Tues..very unpleasant and then Wed. a deposition hearing with the Fl DEP law enforcement about my grievance with my bosses and their single handily making me have a nervous breakdown. Heard from unemployment, apparently jumped the right hoops and will get back pay and pay from the first sun in sept. till I get a full time job.

Moose is doing great in training and lil bear has even learned a thing or two and has been helping mom, by alerting her on days mom is going to have a bad migraine or a TIA. So Lil Bear has moose's old vest but has to stay in her bag since she would forget her job if she was allowed to walk that and she's small. So moose is getting her new vest and patches.

Sorry so long, any suggestions on flea control would be great, going to do a search on yorkietalk about it too. Hope to get service dog pictures soon. and Of course Halloween, the girls can't wait to show off their costumes.
