I have seen dogs sick with parvo. There is no playing and acting just fine, they are weak, won't eat, can't keep anything down/in, lethargic and it only gets worse. Parvo is a slow painful death for dogs. A friend had a dog with parvo, when we went to put him down, you could smell the death, it was awful. I know your trying to find anything for closure, but you would know if it was parvo.
One thing you need to keep in mind, if your neighbors dogs had parvo and died in that yard, a new puppy in your yard could get it too. I am not sure what measures you would need to take to prevent it, but look preventing it first. |
