I think that is wayyyyy too young for your puppy to be away from it's mom and litter. The longer the pup stays with it's mom and litter the more adjusted he/she will be. You will get a confident/socialized and healthy puppy versus a scared puppy who might not eat well, and might have a lot of issues if brought home too early. I wouldn't risk it personally, because it's not fair to take them away from their world before 10 weeks. I would say 12 weeks but if they are eating well 10 is definetely more acceptable than 5 or 7. Please reconsider and ask the breeder to keep the pup for only an extra month. I know how excited you are but just think of how many nights you will lose sleep because the puppy will cry and cry for it's mom and litter. It's really heartbreaking. |
