In our Country - shock value works and to tell you the truth - I think it could have been MORE Shocking to get the point across - I Hated that article - hated what they have to do in shelters but what better way to get peoples attention than NOT pulling punches. Kids who saw that MAY remember it - but, they sure wouldn't remember a printed article with NO pictures. It's sad but true....People work on visuals and that was def an attention grabber. I think it was great that someone had the guts to print it.
To help the terrible problem we have with too many dogs in shelters - - that kind of article needs to be plastered all over the media and our laws have to change. |
