i have had a horriblee flea problem this summer and still having it. I also had ticks. my vet suggested K-9 advantage for them all because it is the only one that says it kills ticks also. i asked him about my pregnant bitch. he said it was perfectly fine for her. Against my better judgement and people on here's advice, I put it on her. it was about the time the calender says the puppies are being formed. Silk had two puppies. A huge boy and a girl. The morning she went into labor there were two heartbeats. The big boy stopped her labor. I rushed her to the vet. She had to have a section because if we didn't get the big boy out, Silk and the little girl would have died. he told me that the boy was born dead and his lips weree horribly deformed. the little girl is perfect in every way. i will believe until the day I die that it was the flea medicine. I have a pregnant gal now and still have fleas since it hasn't been cold enough to kill them. I have the long red fleas. the worst kind. I have been bathing kandy in Dawn and combing her with a flea comb . The fleas die from the dawn. i comb dead fleas off her. it will kill them but does not keep them from getting on her. i would not use the flea medicine on her.
