I just have a few thoughts on this I don't have either parti or Biewers but have been reading about them and watching things develop with them for years.
I can't see the AKC ever recognizing the German Biewer when they are really just off colored Yorkies, the same as the parti's are. Since they do have American breeders that have DNA tested their parti's to prove they are from registered Yorkie parents they would be accepting a breed they already paper. Even though the standards are not the same as in Germany.
The parti probably has no chance with the YTCA ever giving them a verity. At least not any time soon.
I would love to see the 2 parti's combined to create a verity that are American. If they are bred for generations here I believe they could be given a verity or breed classification in maybe UKC. This way the genes would have some diversity and the American breeders who have also been working on this color for years aren't shut out by a foreign registry. Then maybe AKC would follow suit once they have been shown in UKC a while.
Just my thoughts, it doesn't mean much. LOL |
