I really don't think it would matter if you held off on the puppy food or rushed the adult food at this point. I, personally, would delay the adult food since I have done this many times with no known problems, but have always waited until at least a year to switch to the adult formula. I also like the idea of mixing the two so when it is time to make the switch you can just eliminate the puppy kibble when you run out.
