he is 6 lbs, the vet said he is ideal weight.
but how much do i feed him.
he eats merrick dry and merrick canned. it is very good high quality food.
how often do you feed a yorkie.
i find if i feed him in the morning and then go out, he poops in the house.
can i feed him at the end of the day when i get home? this only happens when i go out only about twice a week. i just do not want to starve him.
thanks ahead of time for all the time you took to answer all my questions, i really appreciate it.

He can definitely be on adult food now, keep with the Merrick's - it is a good brand. Gradually switch from the puppy to the adult. I personally, feed Sissy breakfast and dinner and then she gets a snack at lunch time. She is just over 4 lbs and will vomit yellow bile if her stomach gets too empty. This is a problem many Yorkies have. I would keep feeding twice a day and confine your baby to a specific area if you think he will poop while you are gone. Can you feed him as soon as you get up (assuming your shower/eat before you leave) and then let him out before you go for the day?
