We saw her/picked her out at 5 weeks old so they were very small being so young and everything, she wasn't the runt of the litter, she was a little bigger than the other puppies. She's been doing well eating but of course she's with the rest of the litter still and following the pack so I don't really want to depend on that.

It's not possible for me to take her to work, but that might be possible for my fiancé. I agree, I do want to be the one to bond with her, it would be heartbreaking to see her first stages spent with another person. If we would be able to take some time off from work does anyone know how long we should be thinking about? Or if my fiancé were able to bring her to work, how long he would have to do that? Or does it just need to be played and out depending on how she does, I don't know if there's a certain age that they become more stable or what?
