I have a decision to make... This is kind of a long story... I am going to be bringing my new puppy home (Butterfly) either this weekend or next weekend (I'll find out on Thursday). Originally I was going to be moving around mid Nov. but a last minute thing came up and we had to move last Saturday... well... since my fiancé and I both work during the day and weren't planning on moving in together until a little later, we had made arrangements with someone close to us who is absolutely excellent with dogs (and lives very very close by) to keep Butterfly at her house for a couple weeks until we were able to move. Since she would be home during the day this would also ease my worries of someone being there to monitor Butterfly in case of any drops in blood sugar or whatnot during the first couple weeks in the new home. Well... we have our own place now which solves one thing, but I'm worried about someone not being able to be with her during the day for the first couple weeks and am wondering now if I should still keep her at this friend's house (who will not be near as close now) until we see she's doing fine eating and not becoming hypoglycemic; or if we should just bring her home with us and find some way to give access to a tiny bit of corn syrup or something. Is there anyone who works during the day that has any good advice or has been through something similar with the puppy being brought home for the first time??? Sorry if this is so confusing, it is quite a dilemma for me!!
