I have tried several throws and slip covers. I found throws easier to work with as the slip covers never stay in place, grrrr.. now matter what fancy things I used to keep them tucked in.
Also I found just regular duck cotton the best material for washing.
Stay away from chenille, it looks great at first, soft, comfortable..... but in a matter of weeks it looks awful. It snags and piles very quickly. I wasted several hundred dollars on those ones.
