I am not attacking people who crate their dogs. If you are taking this as a personal attack, well, I'm sorry and all I can say is please don't feel that way. It's not a personal attack. I am not on yorkietalk to attack people. I do realize that people's lives are different and they do different things but I am asking a different question, which no one has answered:

what are you training your dog to do by crating them? and at what point will that training be accomplished?

I still don't think that a dog should be caged and it is upsetting to me PERSONALLY, but I have an opinion that is different just as you have opinions that are different. But I think we can all agree to disagree on the subject. Now, back to the original question...

P.S. Yes, I work and so does my boyfriend. Our schedules, however, as such that Archie is never really left home for more than 4 - 5 hours a day. If we're not home for long periods of time, Archie will either be home by himself or he goes to play at his friends' houses or his friends come over to keep him company here.
