I really can't understand these kill shelters. I am a strong advocate of no kill shelters and fostering. There is no reason why kill shelters should exist. The only reason a dog should be euthanized is because of health problems or serious behavior problems. I am sorry, it just makes me angry that these shelters exist. There will always always be dogs that need new homes but there doesn't ever have to be any kill shelters. JMO |
I understand your feelings but you are blaming the wrong people. You should blame the many many breeders and irresponsible owners that produced these unfortunate animals. And maybe even blame me and countless others like me that pay big dollars for a cute little puppy that encourages the greedy puppy mills to keep churning out our darlings while leaving their parents in such terrible conditions that ending up in a kill shelter is one of their best options.
Please spay and neuter your pets. If you can take care of another pet, please adopt/rescue.
