Default Now this one drives me nuts...

I have a slight problem with this thread.......not the people, just the content....

Kids as well as dogs can be taught to behave.....period. The day that my kids dictate what my hobbies are, or what my career is......well....lets just say......I have two families, one older, one younger, due to being divorced for 13 years......and yes....I had a 4lb yorkie when my first boy was 8 years old. She was treated like a queen. He was instucted, as well as any ADULT that came to my home to "handle her with care." Now, I am back into the business of trying to show a Yorkie again. And my last family is two boys.....again......and although they are young, they too are instucted to behave and "handle with care" all little animals that we are involved with.(we rescue too, on occasion)

But, for a breeder to tell me; She will not sell a Yorkie to me because, 1. I have kids, 2. I have a career. and hubby works....that they prefer that I stay at home.....? Well, pretty soon, it will limit anybody not of retirement age to have a Yorkie.....most households require two to make ends meet.

I know Lorraine is not being critical, she does not appear to have a mean bone in her body...LOL but more careful than anything else....but we must also remember......lets not make this breed only for the elderly.....LOL....hell, when the owners keel over, who will take care of the babies....

We all have a choice to raise our children just like we raise your Yorkies.......with respect and manners....and we all can live in harmony......young or old.....with these little muchkins...

So, in answer to your question.......raise both your kids and your Yorkies the same......LOL
