Sorry.....I went through all the ups and downs of "Grooming"; Petco & Petsmart mistakes, a Groomer fitting us in their schedule, delivering & picking them up, waiting there while they're whining & crying, Groomer coming into my Home etc. After all the mistakes and bad judgement on the Groomer's part
(although they all say it's my fault for not giving clear cut thorough instructions to them). Not to mention the cost of 2, everything is doubled.
It was just too much stress to deal with! I studied every picture of Yokies I could find in books & magazines, and calendars. I bought a pair of "Pet Clippers" on sale for $9.99 and I trained them to be calm & relaxed for me to Bathe them, shave their ears, clip their nails, trim the hair around and between their paws. I even do "Sanitary Shaves" on them, they lay still and even enjoy "Spa Day". But I don't try to do it all in one sitting (about 30 min.) otherwise they get too impatient. It is also another form of bonding with them w/c makes them even closer to me. My Sister also has a male Yorkie, she eventually did the same thing too, it's one less thing to worry about, besides they both have long coats and I like getting compliments for their appearance and being completely responsible for them, but that's just my opinion.
