Pepper loves kids of all ages, but he didn't really have much interaction with very young kids, kids I'm familiar with are above 8 and I know they are very gentle with him. But I agree, small kids might think Yorkie is a cuddly stuffed animal and squeeze it, small hands are not that coordinated and can hurt the little bones of Yorkies or any small breed. ) they took me to the farm and let me hold one of the newly hatched chickens... LOL. I really liked it though and thank God they took it from me on time. The kids need to be taught to be gentle from very beginning and supervised.
