They say this because Yorkies are small and when some thing happens Like a kid picking it up and dopping it or holding to tight They remeber this forever. And they may have less tolerance for kids after that happens. Not just with kids though. My female is scared to death of the doggy gate. Once one almost hit her when I droped accadently. she wont go near it. and that was two years ago. You can Have children and Yorkies you just have to be careful. Never leave them them alone. Make sure the child knows (if old enough) Not to pick them up. And I always let new kids that come around to let them come to you and not to hold them at all. They can bite if a child wont let them go and is (hugging) them to long. It is the only way they can tell them no more., after they wiggle and growl. I think if you are careful and watch you can have both. I do
