I think one big responsibility to keep in mind is:

do the parents want this dog? If the minor is still in high school or below, how do they know where they are going to be living in the future? What if they go off to college? Absolutely No dogs allowed in dorm rooms. The parents would end up caring for the dog.

I am 21 years old and under no circumstances would my parents allow me to have a dog under their roof unless I could provide for the dog and I had a huge grasp on what my future holds. I do have Stewie now, but I am not going to lie -- I can hardly afford to support myself. If a crazy vet expensive comes up, Visa or Mastercard would have to foot the bill for me and I know that.

ITS SO EXPESNIVE TO HAVE A DOG. The parents would have to be the one to purchase it and be willing to meet with me/agree to certain things if I were a breeder selling one of my puppies. If they seemed to have a cold attitude toward the puppy or the responsibilities, then they would not get one of my dogs.
