We use diatomaceous earth (food grade, not the swimming pool stuff) in the yard and around the outside of the house. It is non toxic and odorless. You should use a mask just while spreading it but after that it is perfectly safe. We have used this for 20 years with all of our dogs and NEVER had fleas or had to use chemicals on our dogs. It gets rid of ticks, ants and other crawling bugs too!
We have never had to use anything indoor or on Lacey, although some people use it both indoors and rubbed carefully into the pets hair...
