I am so sorry for your lost. Are you sure he did not chock with something he ate?

I tried mouth to nose while my husband attempted to call the vet since it was out of office hours. However his his heart just stopped beating.

Any clues on what could have caused this? He was a house papertrained dog who was never around any other dogs except for our maltese. They are papertrained and both rarely went outside.

Any thoughts are appreciated.
