LOL!!!! Thank you for your post and allowing me to travel down that "Memory Road" with you! Hubby and I will celebrate 21 years in January and I remember well my showers before the wedding (invitations, wearing the Sunday best, hostess gifts, etc.).
As for the baby shower, I agree with everyone here - don't provide a list of what you want. Each place you are registered at will provide your guest with a list of your wishes to select from. And if you get duplicates, return them to the store and get something you didn't get. I would make sure your mom has a list of "baby wishes" on hand for the rsvp's that may not be available at the stores you've registered. If she's asked for gift suggestions from the prospective guest, she can give them a few items off the list so they can choose one for you.
