Trust me my husband and his father have sat her down several times to talk to about it. We have all suggested she go visit her daughter, her other grand kids, and other misc family in West Virgina, but she says she wants to wait until my stepdaughter goes and spends a week with my mom next summer. She thinks that my stepdaughter will get upset if she does not take her with her. My step daughter could careless to tell you the truth. We have suggested church groups, ladies groups, a gym membership, heck I even suggested taking some classes at the local college. My MIL thinks she is old, she is only 54 which to me is far from being old. Heck my parents are 51 and 56 and are always busy either traveling or riding their motorcycle.
