Hi, Around here Yorkies are not that popular of a breed because we have a lot of the "great outdoors" and bigger more sturdy dogs are in demand. So I was very lucky to only have to pay $400 for my boy. He is AKC, and I met both of his parents and maternal grandparents. He is in great health, and I only put clothes on him when it was cold, he didn't like them very much.
They are a lot like having a child, have great personalities and are very very intelligent. I have been lucky training Jack, but he is a real "boy" and gets into everything. NEVER leave underwear or socks lying around, they love them. If you ahve lots of patience and lots of love to give you will be a good Yorkie Mom.
