I did a quick search and it sounds like this isn't that uncommon. I even came across information that said they could actually tie (but wouldn't become pregnant) so not to leave an inheat female and neutered male unattended because injury could occur to either dog if this was to occur and no one was supervising.
I've had a neutered male, but I didn't have any unspayed females at the time. Now I have an intact male and intact female so I wasn't aware of this. |
