OMG...I am so glad that you are okay. Hawks can be very frightening....we had a similar incident happen to us on a recent trip to Florida.... My fiance was out jogging and was running along a bike path when a hawk swooped down towards his head and grazed the top of it with his/her talons.
My fiance has salt and pepper curly hair and we guessed that the hawk thought he was a small grey animal when viewed from up above. I am super careful when out with Vivi because hawks will try to carry away a small dog and we have a large seasonal hawk population where I live in NJ. Your guardian angel yorkie saved your face from a terrible accident.
