I know fleas can come into a house on a person's shoe or pants and once they find a nice warm cozy spot in a carpet or chair, look out! Also have to treat yards. Are they dog fleas (brown ones with bodies you can pinch and kill) or sand fleas (little black flat ones that you have to break in half with your nail)? Brown ones prefet the dogs. Black ones will live anywhere. I had them so bad one year, I found a couple of them in my drt's hair. I bombed the heck out of my house, top to bottom, and got rid of them. They like hot and dry. Kinda like Kansas. One good thing about cold winters - no fleas! OH, Roxy is on K-9 Advantix and I have only found 1 dead flea (sand) when she took a bath. Put on white socks and walk around your house to see if they are in your carpets. They love white. Good luck, they are miserable things to deal with. |
