I really appreciate this thread. Winston is almost 7lbs and Maggie at 6 months is 6lb. I always get the comments of "oh my, he's big for a Yorkie, is he a purebred?" or "Mines a teacup, I guess yours aren't... but he is cute" or "he's a Silky, isn't he? He is too big to be a Yorkie". Now Maggie is getting the same comments. Both my husband and I try not to let it bother us, but to hear that over and over again wherever we go is giving us a little complex.

Your babies are adorable! Unfortunately, most people are not educated or seem to have no access to the internet. When I first started searching the breed there was so much information out there that in a few days I felt like an expert
(just kidding!).
Seriously though, your babies are precious. I used to get the same comments about my toy poodle. They would say "she's not a teacup"......my reply duh! there is no such thing......she's a toy!
