Ask the groomer what products she uses on her hair to make it lay flat.
You could try some people conditioner that makes hair straight and silky.
When I color my hair I use the preference but I cannot use the conditioner because it makes my hair so soft and fine and I can't get it to do anything. You could try that conditioner.
