What a frightening thing to have happen to you! Hawks are a danger around here too. One was actually circling over Ruby one day. When I noticed I snatched her up, came inside and was shaking for an hour over that ordeal! Then I had several people tell me they had heard stories of hawks catching dogs. Needless to say we are much more careful outside now.
