My dog - a week before he was neutered (at a year old) was around a little female that was in heat --- and he didn't have a clue what to do.

I was keeping my eye on him and was going to pick him up if necessary - because I didn't want him to breed. But, I didn't need to worry - he was totally excited - but all he wanted to do was jump up and down and run around and play play play. That's all the little girl wanted to do also.

Of course - remember - this was his first time around a little girl in heat - I'm sure he would have figured it out before too long.

****** Kendra - before anyone would want to use your dog as a stud - they should certainly want to know a lot about him -- his family history, his temperment, his health, how well does he meet the Yorkie standards - and any faults or deviations away from the standards that he might have.

I just to live in Oceanside and Carlsbad. Now I live in Washington - but still miss California a lot. I think you're lucky - being able to live in that area.

Hope you find a little friend for your pup -- and don't be in a hurry to breed your little guy. My pets are all spayed and neutered......
