Unless you have a real rabies problem in your area, I never recommend rabies until 6 months of age. He can't infect anyone with rabies unless he has it and he can't have it unless he is in direct contact with a rabid animal that has given it to him.
Never allow a vet to give rabies with the other vaccines, it is too much at once.
