Definitely needs a new vet - dogs can't talk so only tests and a knowledgeable vet are going to find out what is wrong. I will keep her in my prayers. Please update.
With no diarrhea I wouldn't suspect it to be a parasite of any kind. The black stools could indicate blood in the feces (but there is an easy test your vet can do to tell if it is blood). I am sure they are thin just because she is not eating very much.
I would go buy some nutrical or nutristat at a petstore. It is a high calorie nutritional supplement for dogs that aren't eating enough. It comes in a tube is about $8.00 and most dogs will readily lick it off your finger. I would also put her on boiled chicken (no skin, prefereably white meat) and rice because it is very easy to digest until her stools and appetite improve. |
