Default wow!

thanks to everyone with their kind words. bailey and i really appreciate it and now feel overly welcome, its a great feeling to be surrounded by others with the same love i share for bailey as they do for their own. this is my first puppy/pet ever. i remember ever since i was 4, i use to beg for a puppy and sit and cry looking up the chimney asking "why santa claus, why didn't you ever give me a puppy!" LOL. my parents were never big on it, and they told me when i was really young, "you can have a puppy when you get your own house". to their surprise, i dont think they realized i would remember haha.

i use to sit and wonder, why were people so attached to animals? it was sort of weird to me. but ever since i got bailey, i've grown to love him more than just any animal or pet, hes part of my family and household now. i now really understand why people love their pets as much as they do, its because they are no longer pets but family. my parents are now getting pretty old, and now they loveee bailey, and call him their grandchild. my mom comes over to my house and admits that she is coming to see bailey and not me =P.

again thank you for all your responses. i had one question. the only thing i have an issue with is that he likes to chew on fingers, which i know is normal and have nothing against. but i dont want him to grow that habit when out with friends/family. i purchased bitter apple spray and put it on my hands, he would open his mouth and lick and attempt to chew on my hands but would stop and shake his head from the horrible taste. it really does work, however, it gets messy and i have to keep applying it on every 5 minutes because hes always licking at it and is interested in what it is. is there anything else i can do? i tried yelping like a puppy when he bites, then i turn my back and ignore him, it sort of works, but then an hour later he gets back to it. hes has the greatest tempermant except sometimes he forgets how rough he is getting. any advice other than the two listed that have worked for you would be GREAT!

Thanks,
Jonathan and Bai
