I forget the reason it was started. I'm too lazy to go look in my yorkie books right now.
I know it certainly does help with the cleanliness aspect, they're cute like little boxes with that nubby little tail, and just think how many have been saved from having doors slam on them!
They're cute both ways, but I've never seen one in real life with a full tail. I've seen pictures.
