I'm so glad Baby Bear didn't get hurt again!

What does your vet say regarding what he should be able to do now? I would go with whatever he says. If he thinks he should be doing more, then I'd start letting him do more. But, I'd check with the vet first so that he doesn't end up re-injuring himself.
