My choices would be:
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Cocker Spaniel
Poodle.

I fell in love with a king charles spaniel once when I was little and a runaway found it's way to my house. The owner claimed it or we would have kept it.

Had a cocker/chow mix which was a def family favorite. Had Maggie since she was 4 weeks old and she finally had to be put to sleep due to mouth cancer.

My sister has a small poodle (least I thought it was small till I got Gypsy) who I bonded with.
