My Tini is also microchipped. My vet recommended that we do it at the same time she was spayed. This is because the needle is a little bit big. It only takes a second, but the chip is about the size of a grain of rice and has to be able to pass through the needle. Once it was in she is fine! I am glad to have the piece of mind.
15.99 sounds like a really good deal. I had to pay 35, so if the 15.99 includes the registration you definately should look into going that route. Probably it will hurt you more to see it done than it will hurt your furbaby!
