Well I thank all of you for your advice on the matter. When it comes to yorkies or dogs in general I am kinda a novice so I appreciate all that I have learned from this site thus far. I had no idea that a person had to chose if they wanted there yorkie to be one or the other, "family pet" or "breeder dog".
I am also a little surprised by the "bite my tongue on this one....." attitude. Forums are a great place for people to share their experiences with one another and for people who have yet to experience anything receive some advice from people who have been through it. I think, when a member "bites his or her tongue" when a newcomer asks a reasonable question, it defeats the purpose of a general forum.
That being said, I now have an idea of which path I want my yorkie on, and thats a family pet. Thanks
