Most Kill shelters give the dogs absolutely as much time as they possibly can to be reclaimed or adopted. Sometimes their time is limited to the state required minimum, and this is due to overcrowding. The "Stupid shelter that is killing the innocent" is not to blame here..it is the idiot BYB's cranking out puppies right and left with no regard for who they sell them to, what's behind them, how they stack up to the standard, what behavioral or health problems they may have, etc. etc. etc. etc. as long as they make their buck. As far as euthansia goes.. believe me, there are MUCH WORSE things than death.. fear, cold, starvation, lonelyness, sickness...and these "stupid shelters" save these missing, abandoned, hurt, lost, feral dogs & cats and do the best for them they can, even if that means a soft pat on the head before they take their final breath, at least the suffering is over. Blame the idiot who brought them into this world, not those who are trying to do something about it.
