If the mucus on the poop is the only thing unusual w/ your baby, and he's alert frolicsome, eating and drinking well and dewormed, I wouldn't worry... my dogs sometimes had it too but that was nothing to worry about... Maybe the poop was a little dry... usually that's what causes it... Anyway, call the Vet and ask, it'll peace your mind...
