She seems normal right now, but I would like to know the signs of when I should be worried.
HI, it is normal for them to have accidents for a while after spay/neuter, I had problems for a few weeks with two of my girls. Neither were all that well housetrained anyway. They are both doing great now but this is sometime later.
Baby aspirin has been used on dogs for pain in days past, I don't know about buffered. I doubt a 1/4 tablet given once would harm but I wouldn't give it again. My Vets now prescribe pain meds specific for dogs however, with any of these pain meds whether canine or baby aspirin, it can slow healing and in the case of surgeries, can result in more bleeding. Aspirin and even the canine pain meds also work as a blood thinner, so give with caution. If possible, it would be better for her to not get any at all but if she is in pain and showing that she is, as little as possible and infrequent medicating is better. Never give tylenol, it is dangerous for dogs.
