The poverty in Africa is just beyond imaginable. Just read "Sahara Unveiled" by William Langewiesche. The normal rules of society are completely set aside when people are just trying to survive. Being in survival mode makes people willing to do anything. We all have the luxury of rules and order because we don't want for anything. |
