My vet is in the same office with Chopstix vet. I saw mine Friday, cause Venus needed another set of shots, and asked bout chopstix. Thought I posted here, but don't see the post.

When I asked about chopstix, vet techs popped out of the wood work, and wanted to know how I knew. Told them I've been on YT. I saw vet techs that I'd never seen before!

I wanted to donate but they said I'd have to go through Lauren.

Said chopstix didn't need that last surgery after all. And it was a good thing, cause not much bone to work with. Most of what they told me, seemed to be same stuff I'd already found out from here. So chops is still recovering, which is great news to me.

They said Lauren worked with a high kill shelter here in Mobile, rescuing dogs from them. They spoke very highly of her too! Seems they know her quite well, and that meant to me, she took good care of the dogs she rescues.

They did give me a little more info on her background, which gets sadder everytime I learn more. Said the person that dropped her off at the shelter, said that someone threw this dog out of a car window, and kept on driving. My guess, is they had the choice of picking up the dog, or following the car for a tag number.....so they got chopstix, and took him to the shelter.

Thats all the news I could get, but did find out that chopstix is still recovering, so we know he/she (can't remember) is alive, and doing better.

Don't know what happened to my post Friday about this. Maybe it didn't get bumped up.
