My Holly was tiny when she was spayed 5 months ago,at 6 months and under 3lbs. She did really well! Ask for pain meds and take her own food-my vet wanted her eating before she came home--same day,in the afternoon.

Ask the vet nurse to ring you afterwards,when she comes out of it-then you will know all is ok. Get a plastic collar-cat size-incase she tries to bite the stitches. Holly did but after wearing the collar for an hour, decided it was better not to bite! She may be very sleepy for a day or two. Good luck!
Thanks for the post. Ya, my vet told me also to try to see if she eats in the morning of spay.
