I think the answers you are getting are pretty typical. Most people here don't breed their pets. And - I think "pets" is the key word. We believe in neutering and spaying our animals. And - then feel that the people who should be breeding are the ones who have the exceptional little animals that meet the standards of the breed very well - and are breed with other Yorkies who also meet the standards very well.

Seems to be that a lot of the reasons that people want to breed their little dogs just "don't cut it" here.... getting another pet for themselves - getting another little dog like their own because they love it so much - and often just wanting the experience of having puppies, especially for their children, etc.

But - in the end - it's a personal choice. Just be sure to give it a lot of thought and be a responsible pet owner.... read more and learn more about breeding. (It's not all sunshine and roses!!!!!)
