I had the same problem you did. I had to actually start taking Ativan because i was having panic attacks because I felt soooo out of control. One of the things that helped me was I crated him every second I could not watch him and I am letting him out very often, he is getting better and now I cannot imagine my anxiety about having him. I also put him on a schedule that I follow pretty regularly for crating and feeding etc and that helped too. I got it from this site:
