I read in a book about rescues that dogs will respond to their new name and not the old name in 2 weeks. I would guess that if you keep calling her by her new name and rewarding when she responds she'll learn it.

Although we've had Sherman now since Labor Day weekend and he only comes to "Baby" so I call him "Baby Sherman", whatever works right?
