If you are only breeding him one time I would not do it and it would be unfair to him.
It can very well change the behavior of your male it depends on the dog. They will hump, mark and be constantly concentrating on one thing only, breeding with a female. Not all males do this when bred but you are taking a good chance that this will happen.
There is also alot that goes into breeding. Such as testing. Your male will need alot of tests such as checking the heart, eyes, knees and liver. Have a bile acid test and brucellious (sp??) test.
I would just neuter him and enjoy having and loving him the way he is now.
